Purple Halloween

It's a new challenge from Kathleen, an Autumn table in Purple

I thought a Halloween theme would be fun but didn't want to set a table that would scare your socks off.  Perhaps a bit of lace
and a little sparkle would set the mood.

Cream chargers highlighting lavender plates, topped with white pumpkin bowls.
Cutwork napkins and purple pearls.  All quite elegant.

Just add a few skulls, pumpkins, spiders and witches' hats that
lean toward the macabre.

Hope you're welcoming Fall in style (and with a bit of whimsy)!

I love this table! Wherever did you find so many purple accents? Your idea to "soften" the thrills of Halloween with lace and sparkle, definitely worked! You've created an elegant dinner for a haunted house! Thanks for sharing. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

I just learned about the purple challenge at Cuisine Kathleen's and have been having a great time checking out all of the purple tablescapes. As much as I love it, I have nothing purple at all, so am thoroughly enjoying seeing what everyone has put together. Beautiful job here!

The white pumpkins really pop from all the purple elements you have and all of them are awesome!

Hi there! Excellent choice in going with a Halloween table for the challenge! It's a great way to introduce purple into the design in a contemporary way. And it's OK...you didn't scare my socks off! :-)

I like the way you used the creamy elements to offset the deepness of the purple. Purple is one of those saturated colors that can turn on you if you're not careful, and you did just the right thing by including ivory tones to tone it down.

Well done! You did it!!! You met the challenge!!! have a great weekend!

A very classy and elegant Halloween table in purple, just enough scary!

My walls aren't purple, but one wall is a wine color, it's BM Berry!
