Fall Setting in Black, White and Silver

Do you ever find one piece that really inspired you?  These silver pumpkin plates did it for me.

When I saw them at All About Home, I knew they could be used in a table setting as well as in my fall décor.  They've been in the dining room since coming home.

Here they are last weekend as we were making apple butter.

This week, they took center stage on an elegant Fall table.

I gathered some old silver trays and crystal (from our wedding),
some dried hydrangeas and gourds,

some mercury glass pears from The Merchantile and some homemade napkins,

the dinner plates from Home Goods and the dessert plates from Penny's.

I also wanted to show off a successful project.  I've read lots of tutorials on making your own mercury glass decorations and they all sounded so easy.
I followed this one from A Stylish Interior and was pleasantly surprised how easy it really was.  Sorry I forgot to take a before picture but you've seen those pumpkin jars at discount, department and resale stores.  The votive holder was from Dollar Tree.

I'm so amazed I actually did them myself!!

I'm hoping you're enjoying this beautiful fall!

We're planning a colorful drive this weekend and hope to be inspired to set a colorful table next week!

Thanks so much for visiting!

Ooh I do love those silver pumpkin plates too! (You've reminded me that I have a silver pumpkin that I forgot to bring out) They go so well with the pretty china. Love all the other accents!

Great job on the mercury glass! I've read a couple of tutorials, but I'm still highly intimidated.

I think silver is a great way to add a little glamour to the season! A wealth of silver pumpkins is just the ticket!
