Colorful Fall Table

Fall is in the air here in Missouri.  Evening temperatures are dipping into the 40s this week so those beautiful Fall colors are just around the corner.  I decided to set a colorful table using some plates I found last year at Pier 1.
Don't they look like they're made of hard candy?
I used my gold Pier 1 napkins again and my new Pioneer Woman flatware.  Yep, I broke down and bought a set.  I think we'll like them.  They seem well balanced and comfortable to hold.
Am I the only one who is particular about how flatware feels in my hand??
The rest of the table consists of Michael's chargers, dessert bowls from Pier 1, DG votive holders and glasses, WM plates and salt and pepper shakers.  The pitcher is from Home Goods.
The grocery store flowers were on sale for $0.99 a small bundle.  I bought two and they filled my pitcher quite nicely.
I've decorated the dining room with a few pieces from my stash.

I hope you enjoy a colorful Autumn in your neighborhood!

Thanks for stopping by!

Late Summer Table

The calendar says September but it's still quite warm here.  I'm setting a late summer table today with some sunflower plates I found recently at Home Goods.
A simple table for a quick lunch.
An easy centerpiece of napkin rings on a small cake stand.

The sunflower plates and napkin rings are from Home Goods
The napkins are from Pier One
The mini cake stand is from All About Home, Troy Missouri
Everything else is from Wal-Mart or Dollar Tree

We had WONDERFUL news this past weekend!  Our Precious Daughter and her handsome beau have become engaged!!  They are planning a wedding to take place next Fall.  We are so happy for them!!

Hope you're enjoying these last days of summer!

Sierra Brava - 2015

Here are some fun shots of our dove hunting trip to Sierra Brava Hunting Lodge, Cordoba, Argentina, this past July, 2015.
Jerry enjoyed his time in the field and learning about Argentina while visiting with his bird boy, Diego.

The doves have become quite a problem for the farmers in this area.  Even with several hunting clubs, the population has INCREASED by more than a million birds since we last visited in 2012
It's estimated they eat 50,000 bushels per day!

Our accommodations were great ....both at the lodge and in the field!

There was a celebration for some of the guys.  It was quite a serious affair!
I know hunting isn't for everyone but Wonderful Hubby and his friends enjoyed this trip and we ladies enjoyed reading, relaxing and visiting.  I even got a jump start sewing some Christmas presents.

Hope you all have had a great summer!
