Random Things
Among other things keeping me busy, I traveled to the University of Missouri to attend a presentation given by our daughter, went to Jefferson City for Retired School Personnel Legislative Day and a local winery with Wonderful Hubby.

Michigan 2014
We had a great trip to Michigan earlier this fall. There were lots of wineries, lake views and local landmarks to enjoy.
We drove along the coast of Lake Michigan from the southwest side of the state to Escanaba on the west side of the Lake, then south through Wisconsin.

The Ultimate Quilter's Store
Last week, a friend and her husband took me along as they traveled to Hamilton, Missouri to visit the quilters' 'Mecca,' Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Ste. Genevieve Garden Walk
Last weekend, several of my Master Gardener friends joined me for a garden tour in the lovely town of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. This tour featured a wide variety of gardens - large and small, formal and casual, sunny and shady. We enjoyed about a dozen different gardens on a beautiful sunny and mild day along the Mississippi River.

Sunny View Nursery
Last week our garden club visited a local nursery. It was a cold, blustery afternoon and we were all bundled up in our wool coats with hats and gloves.

We had a great time vacationing during the fall this year! As a teacher, I was never able to do this, so when Wonderful Hubby asked what the vacation destination was going to be this year, I told him I'd love to go to New England in the Fall. We have cousins who live in Hyde Park, NY so they would be our first destination!
We made it to Indianapolis the first night .... just in time to dine at our favorite Indy restaurant, The Rathskeller. It has Bavarian cuisine that is fabulous! Jerry enjoyed the Jäegerschnitzel (which really was as delicious as it was in Zell, Germany!!)

More Vacation Pictures from the Northeast
After we left our cousins' home in the Hudson Valley of New York, we drove to Long Island and spent the day driving through the wine country along the north east part of the island. There is a lot to do and see on Long Island and we will have to go back to spend several days there. We took the ferry at Orient Point to New London, Connecticut that evening.
Clyde's Cider Mill
The next day, while driving, we came across Clyde's Cider Mill in Old Mystic, Connecticut. It was one of those places we JUST had to stop and visit!! What a treasure!

Argentina (2012)
Last summer we had the opportunity to visit Argentina. We went with several relatives and friends on a dove hunt near Cordoba at the Sierra Brava Lodge and my, were we treated royally!

Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, Missouri
Early in December of last year, Wonderful Hubby and I took a Christmas tour of restored homes in the Soulard Neighborhood of South St. Louis City. While in the city, we also went to Mass at the Cathedral Basilica.
