Shamrock Breakfast

I'm so tired of winter, aren't you?  We've had a lot of snow and it lasted a little too long for my taste.  I prefer "Mood Snow."  The kind that covers the grass but melts when it hits the roads.
We didn't have much Mood Snow this winter.

Green is the color I'm into these days.  Green, as in grass, spring leaves and moss.  This week, I've been decorating for Spring.  I may have overdone it, though.  When Favorite Son came home from college last night, he asked, "What's up with all the GREEN?"

It must be a tad too much if he noticed.

My table this month is Wearing the Green, too.

I've had these green glass dishes for awhile now.  I picked them up at a local resale shop and they have the Anchor Hocking mark on them.

The white floral dishes are Cameo Rose that I found at a Goodwill Store on one of our adventures.  I've never heard of this maker.
Anyone know about Mary Dunbar Jewel Homemakers Institute?

The salt and pepper shakers are Depression Glass from my MIL.

I tried several different chargers before settling with these modern square platters.

Aren't these stemmed glasses pretty!  They're so delicate!

Here are a few extra pieces I tried when first setting this table.
My Dear Mother-in-Law had a lot of Depression Glass pieces that she has since shared with her daughter, grandchildren and me.
Here are peeks at a few of my pieces in green.

I found these shamrocks at the store the other day and love using them
on our breakfast table!

These shamrocks are a little sign spring isn't far away.

I know I'm ready.  How about you?

I am so ready too! Your green table is amazing! Your glasses are beautiful and that table is perfect for St. Patrick's Day! And ha...yes....mood snow would have been awesome! I can only imagine how long it will take for all of this snow to melt! Loving your shamrocks as well! I would say your space is a breath of fresh air! Happy week to you! Nicole xoxo

That green at the bottom of the stemmed glass makes it pretty.

Darling table! Not too much green for me! :) I came right over when I saw your green sherbets, because I just put two of them in my Etsy shop, and I wondered if they were the same. Same shape, different pattern, but I think they're so pretty! Would be great for yogurt/granola or ice cream. How do you use yours? Here's hoping for more green, as in grass and leaves, etc.!! ~Zuni

Haha! I love your comment about "mood snow"! I have never stated it quite as eloquently, but that is exactly how I feel about it, too! I like just enough to decorate the holiday season, then I am ready for July! Sadly, we are still buried in the white stuff, so I just LOVE all the green on your pretty table! :)

I love all your green depression glass and how thoughtful of your dear MIL to gift you with so many pieces. The green stemware is so pretty, too, and I love your thrifted dishes that you found. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!

I love your table. You are very blessed to have all the lovely depression glass pieces. I like the juxtapostion of mixing the old with the new. It does something for me. I think life is full of the old and the new and that gives me a comforting feeling. The square chargers really added a zing and highlighted the depression glass. Love the etching on the sherbet and other glasses too.

Hope the snow melts soon. I lived in Alaska for five years so I know exactly how long winters can be. Come down to Alabama and visit me.

Oh, how lucky to have your MIL's green Depression glass! I think I "need" to start a collection. I really enjoyed seeing those pieces, but your whole table is lovely, and I do love the delicate stemware you included.

LOL Your Son NOTICED / that cracked me up as I know exactly what you mean :)

Beautiful, so no wonder that he did :)

Sometimes I think that I could put a Christmas Tree up in July in the middle of the room and my sons would just walk around it, while texting, on their way to see what was in the fridge, and never notice, so I do understand :)
